SNSD made first appearance on men's magazine

The July edition of Japan’s popular men’s magazine, ‘GQ Japan’ which will be available in the market starting June 24th, would definitely be given thumbs up as well as the satisfaction-guaranteed-look by any man as Asia’s no.1 girl group, SNSD would be featured in it. It also contains an interview section with the girls.

According to Japan’s Oricon on June 23rd, GQ Japan also introduced SM Entertainment’s development program. From the interview carried out by GQ Japan with SNSD, one would be able to understand the hard times the girls had gone through before becoming who they are today. The girls had undergone a strict 10-hour training every day. Everything that the girls went through as trainees during their 5 to 8 years pre-debut period were recorded in detail.

In addition to that, it was also mentioned that the use of world’s largest video sharing site, YouTube plays a major role in propelling SNSD’s popularity among international fans.

This was the first time SNSD were featured in Japan’s men’s magazine. Since there seems to be more female SONEs in Japan, we will not be surprised if there are actually more females getting the July edition of this magazine.

The girls were also placed 5th overall, after top Japanese artists like AKB48 and EXILE.

Girls’ Generation started off the year with the release of their 3rd single “MR. TAXI/Run Devil Run” which was released on April 27th. Fellow Korean artists like KARA and Tohoshinki were also mentioned as having made significant milestones. The former was ranked 6th for the foreign artist category, while Tohoshinki was ranked at 15th.

After breaking the 100,000 mark in album sales after only 2 days, and with their ongoing successful Japan Arena Tour, it's clear that Girls' Generation has no plans to slow down with their promotions.

'Come To Play' make a 'SM Town Special' with fans all over the world using SNS

K-pop fans will be coming to play to ‘Come to Play’.

MBC’s ‘Yoo Jae Seok and Kim Won Hee’s Come to Play’ took questions from fans all over the world till the 20th with the theme ‘Questions You have for SM Entertainment Singers’.

The staff of ‘Come to Play’ posted a notice last weekend on Social Network Services(SNS), such as Facebook and Twitter. They were thoroughly surprised at the number of messages they received over the period of time they gave to fans.

A representative of ‘Come to Play’ stated in a phone conversation with Hankooki that,“Thousands of messages have been flooding in till the deadline today on the 20th.” He also added, “Japanese, American and European fans are a given and we’ve received messages from countries whose languages we can’t even recognize.”

The reason ‘Come to Play’ has created such an event is because SM Town successfully completed two concerts on the 10th and 11th in Paris, France. To repay the international fans for their support, ‘Come to Play’ and ‘SM Town’ singers will be communicating with them through SNS.

All members of Super Junior and GIrls’ Generation will be present, as well as some members from other groups such as f(x) and TVXQ. The special episode will air on the 27th.
