Yong Hwa gives Seohyun a back hug on “We Got Married”

On this week’s episode of MBC’s “We Got Married”, SNSD’s Seohyun presented her ‘husband’,CNBLUE’s Yong Hwa, with a surprise gift after their long day of shooting their wedding photos.

Seohyun started off by saying, “It’s cold”. Yong Hwa replied cunningly, “What do you want me to do? Do you want me to hug you or what?” Seohyun rebuked, “What exactly are you thinking of doing?” It was then when Yong Hwa suddenly gave Seohhyun a back hug and said, “I know you like it, don’t pretend like you don’t, cause I see it all in your eyes.”

Seohyun then revealed to Yong Hwa that she had a surprise gift for him, but Yong Hwa continued to joke around, as he replied, “Like what? You made a scarf? Gloves? A mask?”

In the end, Seohyun really did knit a scarf for her ‘husband’, making Yong Hwa want to retract his words.

During their interviews with the PD, Seohyun light-heartedly expressed, “He has no sense whatsoever. I just wanted to give him a gift out of gratitude.” Yong Hwa also expressed his thankfulness for the present, as he said, “I was really sorry. I actually wear it around every day these days.”

Are you ready for the Oh!mazing Festival?

On March 4th, SNSD’s ‘Oh!mazing Festival‘ CF for Domino’s Pizza was released on various portal sites. This is SNSD’s 3rd CF for the famous pizza chain.

In the CF, SNSD’s members, Yuri, Jessica, Tiffany, YoonA and Sooyoung dressed in colorful T-shirts bearing the number ’5′ with their hit song ‘Oh!’ as the background music to promote Domino’s Pizza’s latest event. For the’Oh!mazing Festival’ event, Domino’s Pizza is offering their customers with 5 different types of ‘National Pizza’ with discount of 5,000 Won. The no.5 on the girls’s shirts represents the word ‘Oh!’ (’5′ is read as ‘oh’ in Korean).

Netizens who have seen the CF commented, “This CF looks fresher than the previous CF”, “I have not seen much of the other 4 members in this CF. So, will there be another version?”, “SNSD’s vitamin drink CF is also very popular nowadays. It seems like SNSD are blessed with lots of CF”, “Oh!mazing girls”,etc.

Domino’s Pizza’s 55-days event will be kicking off starting from March 4th and the 20-second CF is expected to receive a great amount of interest from the public as well as netizens.

SNSD is selected as the #2 power girl group in Japan!

SNSD are the stars of the Korean Boom in Japan and has been selected as the 2nd power group in Japan.

Japan’s “Nikkei Entertainment!” used last year’s average sales to predict the power ranking for Japanese girl groups this year.

According to Nikkei’s ranking, #1 goes to the Japanese SNSD, AKB48 they sold 679,000 copies and #2, SNSD sold 121,000 copies. KARA was selected as #3 and Perfume followed them at #4.

[TL Note: I’m not sure which numbers they’re using, because AKB for a fact sold way more than 679,000 copies. Their one single last year “Ponytail to Shushu” sold 679,000 alone. AKB actually sold a total of 3,474,000 copies last year averaging 694,800 copies per single. With that fact, I’m really not sure how accurate the numbers are in this ranking or where Nikkei got their information. So, please take this ranking with a grain of salt.

New Domino's Ad Campaign featuring SNSD

Domino's Pizza in South Korea has come out with a new advertising campaign featuring Girls' Generation with their hit song Oh! and the number 5. Domino's new promotion is that they are offering five different types of pizzas at a discounted price. While all nine girls participated in the commercial, only a maximum of five girls were on screen at one time, keeping with the "5" theme.


The use of Oh! tied in with this theme as well, as the number five can be pronounced "oh" in Korean. Secondly, Oh! was used as an exclamation at the reduced prices of the pizzas. As usual, the girls are their bright and bubbly selves, and have gone back to the Oh! look with bright sporty outfits with the number 5 printed on their shirts.
