Netizens crack up over Yoona’s “serious face” collage

Netizens have been howling over a hilarious fan-made collage of SNSD’s Yoona and her various “serious faces”.

On February 7th, this collage was posted on community site under the title, “gangster Yoona.” The creator threw in some funny comments in chat bubbles to make it seem like Yoona had a rough-and-tumble personality.

Both netizens and fans found them to be hilarious, as they commented, “Yoona has a strong charisma~!,” “It’s only for fun, let’s not take it seriously keke” and “Her serious expression is still cute.”

Yoona's 'Straight Face' Series Garners Attention!

SNSD member Yoona's 'straight face' series has been garnering attention amongst netizens.

On the 7th, an internet community site carried a post with the title 'Bully Yoona'. In the post were pictures of Yoona with straight, or serious, facial expressions, along with funny comments added within them.

The comments in the photos read, "I got dirt in my eye!", "Is this the first time seeing someone sign an autograph?", "It's one hit for every 10 won", "Line everyone up behind me", "You gonna hit me?" The comments added oddly fit in with the situation seen in the photos, causing laughter amongst netizens that viewed the post.

Netizens commented, "Ah~ It looks so real", "Yoona's cute", and, "Her expressions and the comments actually go well together."

SONEs conveyed birthday messages to Sooyoung through newspaper ad

In celebration of Sooyoung’s birthday, fans got their birthday messages to Sooyoung published on a newspaper.

Sooyoung celebrate her 21st (Korean – 22nd) birthday on February 10th. For her birthday, SONEs published their birthday wishes and messages on February 10th issue of Sportschosun newspaper. In the messages, fans stated, “You are always giving out bright smiles. You look beautiful even without putting any make-up and even without much facial expression, your stories are always warm and refreshing. Your heart is so beautiful as you have gone places to reach out to less fortunate people. We would like to thank you for your unwavering heart and voices to us fans and we will always give you our unwavering cheers, support and love just like the beginning”, conveying their sincere love and support for Sooyoung. The messages ended with a birthday greeting, “February 10th is SNSD’s Sooyoung’s 22nd birthday. We sincerely wish the beautiful-hearted Sooyoung a happy birthday”.

Ahead of Sooyoung’s birthday, SNSD fancafe ‘Cistus’ carried out some voluntary work and donated 2 million won to Disabled Children Foundation in Gwangju on January 29th. Sunny’s aegyo goes international

Sunny’s ‘Jubuae’ (commonly known as ‘aegyo’) is gaining popularity internationally.

Recently, an american girl uploaded a video of herself on popular video site, YouTube. The girl introduced herself and expressed her intention of making the video – to act out Sunny’s aegyo. In the video, she did the ‘Oppa Oppa, I’m hungry’ with variety of cute actions to go with it. Even before the start of KBS ‘Invincible Youth’, Sunny has already been known for her overflowing aegyo which would arouse much ‘reactions’ from fans, viewers and even her own Soshi sisters.

At times, it was too much that the aegyo was described as ‘asking for a punch’. Netizens who watched the YouTube video commented, “Sunny is cuter”, “Sunny’s jubuae is so 4D” and “Somehow, she looks like Song Jihyo”.

Which SNSD Member Thought She Was the Prettiest?

The SNSD member who thought she was the prettiest in the world will be revealed.

On the 10th, SBS 'Midnight TV Entertainment' will air their interview with SNSD on the set of their makeup CF set.

On this day, they had a 'beauty talk' with SNSD members. The member that wears the most makeup, and doesn't care about their skin the most will be revealed. One member also confessed, "I lived thinking I was really the prettiest person in the world," who will also be revealed in the interview.

Also, the members' showed off their individual acting skills. Laid-back Sooyoung acted pretty with various expressions, while 'ice princess' Jessica acted by crying. This interview is scheduled to air on the 10th at 11:15 PM.

Rockchic Look Tiffany crowned ‘Best Fashionista’

Tiffany was selected as the ‘Best Fashionista‘.

On Mnet‘s ‘Trend Report Feel‘ aired on February 9th, 12am KST, the fashion styles of stars attending various events were being compared. Besides Tiffany, other ‘candidates’ were Ha Jiwon, IU, Jo Yeojung, Hong SooA, etc.

SNSD's Tiffany was a head turner with her Rockchic Look at the ‘20th High1 Seoul Music Awards‘. Wearing a blue mini dress with some bling bling, red lipstick and a matching black rider jacket at the annual award ceremony, Tiffany was crowned the ‘Best Fashionista’ title.

SNSD, Big Bang are the top idols fans want to spend Valentine’s Day with

According to portal site Geumyoung Karaoke, SNSD and Big Bang were the #1 idols fans wanted to spend their Valentine’s Day with.

Starting January 27th, the site held a 6-day poll asking users to nominate their top idol choices for a Valentine’s date. Based on votes from 537 people (321 males, 216 females in their 20s-30s), 41% chose SNSD, while IU raked in 32%. SNSD is now enjoying their third consecutive year at the top of the poll.

As for the males, Big Bang enjoyed a triumphant return to the top with 27% of the votes, thanks to the ‘double combo’ appeal of Seungri and GD&TOP’s albums. The group had won in 2009, but lost in 2010 to ballad idol group 2AM.

Continuing with runner-ups for the male idols, 2PM came in second with 18%, B2ST took third with 16%, and 2AM fell to fourth place with 15%.

The poll also asked users to name the #1 Valentine’s Day proposal song, and IU’s “Good Day” shone at the top. Meanwhile, users voted for IU and Seulong’s “Nagging” to be the song they most wanted to sing with their significant other.

As Koreans celebrate Valentine’s Day with a twist (women give men chocolates on February 14th, and the men return the compliment one month later), the ladies were asked which male celebrity they most wanted to give chocolates to. Thanks to the “Secret Garden” craze, Hyun Bin dominated the votes.

To wrap up, users were asked to think back to a romantic drama couple they most envied. Poll results showed that everyone was in love with the lovers from “Secret Garden”, Hyun Bin/Ha Ji Won andYoon Sang Hyun/Kim Sa Rang.
