SNSD shows off their athletic skills on “Enjoy Today”

SNSD will be making an appearance on part one of MBC’s “Enjoy Today“, and on the December 12th episode, SNSD will be competing against athletes Lee Bong Ju, Jang Jae Geum, and Lim Choon Ae.

Shin Hyun Joon, Jung Junho, Kim Hyun Chul, Jung Hyung Don, Seo Ji Seok, and Lee Teuk all had a difficult time containing their excitement after the girls appeared at the Jamshil Sports Complex.

Once SNSD began using the ‘oppa’ title on the “Enjoy Today” members, the team immediately brightened up with smiles. Known for their bad stamina and for getting tired in races as short as 100m, the team was suddenly motivated for 12 straight hours, and it’s thought that the cause was the mere presence of SNSD.

Seo Ji Seok and Jessica, who previously claimed each other as their ideal halves, kept up a lively atmosphere.

SNSD's Sooyoung is a talking goat?

Recently, SNSD were guests for the show "YaHaengSung" (Night Star Variety Show).

For a segment of the show, SNSD together with the hosts had a Audio Book Recording. The book was "The Smartest Giant in Town". For the recording, Taeyeon plays George the Giant, Yoona plays a Giraffe, Sooyoung plays a Goat etc.

Sooyoung's "imitation" of a goat was so impressive that she received a standing ovation. Even host, Gil jokingly said that the "Daejong Goat Acting Awards" should be given to Sooyoung.

SNSD to reveal Domino Pizza CF tomorrow!

‘Come To Play’ on January 3rd 2011!

SNSD attended the recording of MBC’s ‘Yoo Jaesuk and Kim Won Hee’s Come To Play’ (commonly known as ‘Come To Play’) at MBC Dream Center in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do on December 8th. All of the girls attended the recording except Tiffany who is still recuperating from her knee injury. Besides SNSD members, MBLAQ’s Mir and Lee Joon, Beast’s Yoseob and Ki Kwang and Super Junior’s members were also involved in the recording.

During today’s recording, the members of the idol groups talked about love and gratitude towards their parents and also their regrets.

A staff of the program, “These idol singers started off at a young age as trainees. Without the love and support from their parents, it will be hard for them to go through their daily activities and training. There were various stories about themselves and their respective parents. On today’s recording, these topics were being openly revealed and discussed”.

The staff added, “There will also be a battle of ‘Who is the most princess-like and most filial child’”.

This special episode of ‘Come To Play’ will be aired on January 3rd, 2011.

9 girls with golden hearts transformed into angels to help a single mother

SNSD transformed into angels and helped out in a donation drive for a single mother who is suffering from cancer.

On MBC’s ’7 Days’ Miracle’ which will be aired on December 9th at 6.50pm KST, a donation drive was being carried out for Mdm. Kim Jung Ok, a single mom diagnosed with Stage 3 Cervical Cancer.

All 9 members of SNSD showed their support by donating some of their own items. In particular, their rare signed debut album. MC Kim Jedong, who is a samchon (uncle) fan of SNSD went down on his knees and said, “This is paradise!”.

At the trading centre, queues were formed next to SNSD and Kim Jedong. As items for trade such as notebooks, netbooks, monitors, game consoles, etc were put up for trading, a brave male fan then spoke up, “Taeyeon-ah, Would you like to go to Hongdae with Oppa? Let’s go”. Meanwhile, SNSD’s T-Shirts were the hot trading items.

Mdm. Kim Jung Ok also had a car accident and she is also suffering from 2nd Degree Intellectual Disability. Her husband passed away due to diabetes and she single handedly raised her two kids, aged 13 and 14 (a boy and a girl) by working in a factory. In December 2009, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cervical Cancer.

SNSD set to dominate ’2010 MelOn Music Awards’

SNSD are looking good as ‘2010 MelOn Music Awards‘ draws closer.

So far, SNSD who achieved great success in both Korea and Japan in 2010, are dominating various categories in terms of online votes. Of the 12 categories, SNSD are leading in the ’2010 Artists’ Award’, ’2010 Hot Trend Award’, ’2010 Music Video Award’, ’2010 Album Award’, and ’2010 T World Best Song’.

In the previous edition, SNSD bagged 6 awards - ’2009 Artist Award’, ’2009 Song Award’, ’2009 Mobile Music Award’, ’2009 Smart Radio Award’, ’2009 Odyssey Award’ and ’2009 Top 10 Award’.

This year’s ‘MelOn Music Awards’ will take place on December 15th at Hall of Peace, Kyunghee University and it will be aired LIVE on MBC Drama Net, MBC Everyone, MBC Life and MBC Game. It can also be streamed LIVE onMelon.com’s Afreeca TV application.
