Girls' Generation remains victorious on TV music shows

Korean female idols Girls' Generation remained victorious once again on televised music programs over the weekend with their latest song "Hoot." The girls took their third consecutive win on KBS' Friday music show "Music Bank" and reclaimed the No. 1 spot on SBS' Sunday program "Inkigayo," after allowing boy band 2AM to defeat them the previous weekend.

"We want to thank everyone at our agency and our fans and we also want wish member Tiffany a fast recovery so she can take her spot on stage with us," the members of Girls' Generation were quoted as saying in their acceptance speech. Last week, Tiffany was advised to take a break from group activities for about four weeks after suffering an injury to her left knee.

Composed of other members Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Jessica, Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung, Girls' Generation who made their debut in 2007 are known for their hits "Gee," "Genie" and "Run Devil Run." They have enjoyed a success return to the local music scene with their new song "Hoot" from their third mini-album of the same name, topping numerous online and offline music charts since its release October 25.

SNSD surpasses DBSK's impressive Mutizens record!

Female group SNSD surpasses DBSK's Mutizen winning records on Inkigayo with their 16th Mutizen victory on Inkigayo yesterday.

The girls won their first ever mutizen back in 2007 with Girls' Generation,it seems that the girls still have more to come.

Tiffany wants to shorten her recovery time

SNSD member Tiffany, who had to pull out of ‘Hoot’ promotions due to a knee injury, is trying her best to recover quickly.

Tiffany injured her knee during a concert performance and was forced to stop promotions about a week ago. Consequently, the rest of the SNSD members are continuing their performances without her. Although Tiffany was advised to rest 4 weeks for a full recovery, it was recently revealed that the idol is passionately trying to complete her treatment sessions in order to shorten recovery time.

Although she tore a ligament on her left knee, Tiffany decided to don a cast for her entire leg in order to reduce movement, and speed up her recovery.

An affiliated individual stated, “Tiffany is placing all her efforts and focus into getting better. With the current situation, she needs 4 weeks of recovery but she has shown the will to recover in only 2 weeks.” Additionally, this individual revealed that the reason Tiffany wishes to recover faster is so that she would be able to attend the ‘FNS Singer Festival‘ in Japan.

The girls dressed in the cowboy outfit for the second time for their “Hoot” performance and the only difference was the number of Soshi members on stage.

After being announced the winner, Seohyun thanked SONEs, their managers, stylists, the company, their families. Jessica then ‘snatched’ the microphone from maknae and said, “Tiffany, we got no.1 again. Let’s have our activities together soon”, wishing Tiffany a speedy recovery from her knee injury. During the encore performance, the girls also did the fan chants at the beginning.
